The Special Education Compliance Coach is responsible for ensuring that all special education programs and services provided Bixby Public Schools are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. They oversee the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to address compliance issues, and provide support and guidance to ensure that students with disabilities receive the services and accommodations they need to succeed academically and socially.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Training and Support: Provide training and support to teachers, administrators, and staff on special education laws, procedures, and best practices. Offer guidance and assistance in understanding and implementing IEPs and accommodations.

2. Monitor Compliance: Regularly review special education programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

3. Instructional Coaching: Provide coaching on how to write compliant IEP's and instructional coaching in the classroom.
